“Nick and I met on Tinder, which in the past would have made me vomit, but nowadays I see all my friends marrying after the same unromantic thumb swipe journey. I'm at peace with it.
He labelled himself as a ‘chivalrous giant with a love for burritos’. That made me giggle. His photos were blurry and unassuming.
All of these things were ticks for me. I had dated so many arrogant posers in LA, he seemed like a breath of fresh air.
We moved in together three months later.
He was everything he said he was: tall, dark handsome, and he pulled out chairs while eating burritos. I was hooked.
It was new to me, a man with no ego, and I couldn’t, and still cannot, believe my luck.
We have lived together for two years now and I wouldn’t change it.
He has been the most surprising gift in my life. He is nothing like what I imagined he could be - and thank goodness for that. My entire life is transformed and my heart is finally in a supported place.”

“This day was a normal, repetitious afternoon in the spring of a monotonous San Diegan life that I called ‘existence’ at the time.
I was swiping ‘left’ and ‘right’ on Tinder, like I had done for the past few months in search of someone who I was hoping to relate to, and build a relationship with.
The Tinder excitement would come to peaks and troughs, and then one day, I was particularly swept off my digital feet by one special lady. This day was a peak day.
We initially started getting to know one another by text, about seemingly nothing at all, and then eventually everything.
We were slowly building up to an actual conversation over the phone and I remember the excitement and anxiety all at once, of the thought of finally talking to one another like it was yesterday. I was so nervous!
These feelings became the first indicator to me that I was really starting to fall in love with her, even with the limited correspondence we had over the course of a few weeks.
Once we actually spoke, we decided to meet in person. Once we actually met, the rest seemed to fall in place. We both fell for each other, very hard and very fast!
The pieces of our puzzles seemingly coming together. We’ve lived together for two years now and I soon plan on asking her a very special question.”
